I’m working on a new body of ceramics right now in porcelain, it’s called Raw Botanicals.
The porcelain clay is pinched into shape giving a very organic form to which delicate handmade flowers are added. I fire the pieces raw (unglazed) at 1222 degrees to vitrify them.
The appearance afterwards is a beautiful chalky finish. I’m adding touches of gold to some pieces.
